Meet our team of LIFE Leaders! We are here for you and always available to answer your questions. Experience, generosity of spirit, and passion for helping others is the common thread at Silverado Senior Living.
Nancy is a Master Level Social Worker that has devoted her life to helping families. She started her career in the field of business with a degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire. However, she had a “calling” into the “helping professions” and in 1983 she received her graduate degree from the University of Oklahoma School of Social Work. She is experienced as a psychotherapist doing individual, group and family therapy. In addition, she has enjoyed being an active community volunteer and coordinator of volunteer programs. Over the past several years Nancy has been working primarily with the elderly in the medical field of physical rehabilitation. Nancy is delighted to be able to continue her work with the elderly and their families at Silverado Senior Living-Cypresswood. She is continuing her studies in the field of Gerontology at the University of Houston and is in the process of completing her Human Services and Gerontology Certificate through the Graduate School of Social Work.
Nancy is devoted to her own family as well as the families at Silverado Senior Living. She has five children and four grandchildren whom she adores. In her leisure time she enjoys playing golf, fishing and attending theater arts programs.
Billie joined Silverado Senior Living – Cypresswood in late 2004 as the Family Ambassador. She moved to Texas from Mississippi in 1963. She worked as a graphic artist for many years before discovering the joys of working with the elderly. She became an Activity Director with Tomball Nursing Center in 1996. She then went on to their Corporate Office as the Marketing Director for all Century Care, Inc. facilities. Billie has expressed many times that working with geriatric residents has been a life changing experience for her. As much fulfillment as she received through her creativity and art, her time spent with residents and their families are even more valuable.
In addition to many years of medical and marketing experience, Donna and her
family has experienced the love and care of Silverado first hand. It
is because of this, that she has happily stepped into the role of Community Ambassador.
Her mission is simple: To make sure everyone knows of Silverado and
the options available to them. And to ensure that every family has the
opportunity to experience the same quality of life.
