A native of Amarillo, Texas, Gene earned a Bachelor of Science in Long Term Care Administration at the University of North Texas – Center in the Studies of Aging. As a Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator, Gene has worked for both the Profit and Non Profit Sectors of the Industry. His experience includes development, start up, acquisitions, and maintaining Skilled and Assisted Living Communities. Gene has been a Certified Preceptor for new Skilled Nursing Facility Administrator’s.

Gene started working in Long Term Care at the age of fifteen and throughout High School he maintained jobs in variety of different departments. These front line jobs gave him a clear picture of the challenges of front line staff member.

Upon completion of High School, Gene entered the United States Navy and served onboard Trident Submarines receiving several citations and Battle “E” Medal from COMSUBPAC 9.

Wanting to return to serving seniors, he returned to Texas to pursue his education. While attending UNT, Gene was fortunate to participate in the development of Adult Daycare of North Texas which still serves Denton County Citizens. Gene also served as the Vice President and President for the Gerontology Society while attending UNT.

Gene and his team received the America Healthcare Association “Quality Award” in 2004. He served on the Board as Regional Chair for the Texas Healthcare Association in 2006. Gene was recognized by his peers and Management Team with a “Peer Award” with a Major Healthcare Provider.

Tonya joined Silverado Senior Living – Dallas in October 2007. Prior to that she had served as Director of Nursing for Ashley Court Skilled Nursing Facility for 7 years. She received her Pre-Nursing and Registered Nursing education in her homeland of Uzbekistan. Tonya moved to the United States in 1993. She successfully completed her studies in Nursing, and received her RN license in 1996. She continued her career working as the floor nurse, charge nurse, and Assistant Director of Nursing for a large 300-bed Skilled Nursing facility in Brooklyn, NY where she was recognized as Nurse of the Year 2000.

When Tonya moved to the Greater Dallas area in 2001 she was already an expert in Skilled Geriatric Nursing. She also completed her studies to become Wound Care Certified Nurse.

Tonya and her family live in DFW area. In her free time she enjoys the outdoor activities and music.

Beverly was born in Arkansas and moved to Texas at age of 10 and Texas has been home ever since. Beverly's background has been in business, marketing and retirement communities. She entered the field of marketing healthcare at a CCRC to expand her knowledge of healthcare communities. Her two favorite areas became Assisted Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing Rehab in working with families and their loved ones needs.

Beverly studied several management companies and their philosophies of healthcare and became very fond of Silverado’s philosophy of Memory Care. Her goal is to help families in their time of decision to place their loved one. Beverly feels a big part of her job is educating families and their special needs one with Dementia has. A lot of the time the decision has to be made quickly.

Beverly believes in all the services Silverado provides, from At Home to flex care to Community Living. Each service is vital in a person’s quality of life as they progress in their dementia needs. From transitioning from home to a Community.

Beverly have two grown daughters that live in Texas and one precious granddaughter. Her hobbies are involvement in church, any outdoor activity, and reading.

Me’Jel Hypolite joined the Silverado Senior Living at Turtle Creek family in August of 2008. Me’Jel has a passion for engaging with people from all walks of life. Me’Jel moved to Dallas in 2004, and pursued a career in hospitality sales and marketing. Although service to others was a natural fit for Me’Jel, he decided to apply his love of life and people towards a different fulfillment.

Working as an Admissions Counselor for a large skilled nursing senior facility in Dallas, revealed his unwavering love and appreciation for the senior population. Me’Jel’s pursuit of a perfect marriage of sales and marketing – coupled with helping others in his day-to-day duties, has now brought him to Silverado Senior Living at Turtle Creek.

Me’Jel has been on track in the last couple of years to completing his degree in Marketing – but witnessing first-hand how special and rewarding working with seniors with memory impairments are to families and their loved ones, he is now charting a path to completing his degree in Psychology.
