Rachael attended Southwest Texas State University and received a Recreation Administration Degree with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation. She has worked in a Long-Term care setting for the past five years. During this time, she has worked in Nursing Homes, specialty Alzheimer’s care and Geriatric psychiatry.
In March of 2002, Rachael joined the Silverado Senior Living team, beginning this experience as the Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. She spent two years supervising the Silverado Activity Department. In the past year, Rachael took another direction within the company, working as the Administrator.
Rachael is a member of the Business Networking International or BNI, received her Therapeutic Recreation Specialist Texas Certification and acquired the Assisted Living Administration certification. She has received certification in the Arthritis exercise program (PACE) and for the last three years has taught the Activity Director Certification course to future professionals in Texas. In addition, Rachael published an article in the Texas Parks and Recreation Magazine in 2001 regarding the innovative techniques in Recreational Therapy.

Mary joined Silverado Senior Living – Plano in August 2005. She received her Pre-Nursing and Registered Nursing education in her homeland of Scotland. She is distinguished by her beautiful smile and charming accent. Mary ventured across the Atlantic to Canada expanding her knowledge base to encompass Multidisciplinary Gerontology and Palliative Care. While living in North Bay Ontario she worked with senior wellness programs, discovered a fascination and love for dementia care, taught at Canadore College after being the recipient of The Dianne Millard Memorial Award for Most Outstanding Student.
Mary has a long list of volunteer positions including The Canadian Alzheimer Society serving as a board member and Education-support coordinator. When Mary moved to the Greater Dallas area in 1997 she was considered by her colleagues to be an Alzheimer Expert, She received the Dallas/ Fort Worth TOP 100 Nurse Award in 1998, Mary has been innovative in her approach to Alzheimer Disease, Gerontology, and Palliative Care organizing numerous workshops and conferences to educate other professionals.
Mary has a son living in Canada and a daughter in Australia along with three grandchildren locally. Mary’s hobbies are digital photography - she always has her camera handy, gardening and decorating.

Born and reared in Longview, Texas, Claire attended Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi where she graduated with a B.S. in Art History, and then moved to New Orleans. After working in geriatrics in New Orleans, Claire and her husband relocated to Dallas where she continued to work with the elderly.
Having worn many hats at Silverado, Claire now serves as the Interim Family Ambassador at Silverado Senior Living. Her goal is to help families with the difficult decision of where to turn when faced with the trying tasks that accompany memory loss. Silverado Senior Living is like nothing you have seen before.
She is currently an Active Member of Elan Circle for the Dallas Junior Symphony League, as well as the Junior League of Dallas. Her current Junior League placement is Music Therapy. Providing age appropriate music therapy to seniors, this group travels to Nursing, Assisted Living and Independent Living Communities as well as other city agencies. She and her husband have also become involved with other philanthropic venues such as Black Tie, the Alzheimer’s Association and Heart House.
Claire is a proud new mommy and loves bringing her little boy to visit the residents at Silverado. With family in tow, Silverado has provided her a wonderful place to “provide LIFE to those we serve”.
